GIAL College Graduates About 100 Students in Katsina

GIAL College of Higher Education, Katsina, affiliated with Ahmadu Bello University, has graduated about 100 students across various medical-related disciplines.

The ceremony, held on Sunday, attracted government officials, education stakeholders and members of the public.

The Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruq Lawal Jobe, was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Yusuf Suleman Jibiya.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer and founder of the college, Hon. Hamisu Gambo Dan Lawal, said the institution remained committed to training students in critical areas of healthcare and related fields.

He described the graduation of about 100 students who successfully completed their programmes as a milestone for the institution.

Dan Lawal also commended the Katsina State Government for its support, noting that the college’s establishment and growth were facilitated by government intervention.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Education, Jibiya, highlighted ongoing efforts by the state government under Governor Dikko Umaru Radda to improve the education sector.

He said education remains a priority of the administration after security, adding that more than 7,000 secondary school teachers had been recruited since the governor assumed office.

He added that the government is currently recruiting over 2,000 additional teachers for primary and secondary schools, bringing the total number of newly employed teachers to nearly 10,000.

Jibiya reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening the education system and improving learning outcomes across the state.
